Andrew Desmond is currently an Assistant Director of Bands for Milford Exempted Village Schools in Milford, Ohio. At Milford, he directs the high school Symphonic Band, teaches 6-8 band classes, and assists with the Milford Marching Band. Prior to his appointment in Milford, Andrew was the Director of Bands at Lake Oswego High School in Oregon where he directed the school’s three concert bands and jazz band as well as taught beginning band classes. The Lake Oswego Wind Ensemble qualified for the Oregon 6A State Band Championships every year of his tenure and was selected to perform at the 2019 NAfME All- Northwest Conference. He also served as Coordinator of Secondary Music Programs for the Lake Oswego School District during the 2017-2018 school year. 

Andrew performed as a member of the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps, aging out in 2014. From 2015-2018, he was a visual instructor with the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, acting as the assistant visual caption head in 2018. In 2019, he joined the instructional staff of the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps as the visual caption head. He has also served on the instructional staffs of the Oregon Crusaders Drum Corps and the WGI Independent World group Cap City Indoor Percussion. In addition, he has worked as a marching band judge for the Northwest Association for the Performing Arts and is a program consultant for several high school marching bands around the country.
