We are excited to welcome home Dr Aaron Witek as the Brass Pedagogy and Teaching Effectiveness Specialist. We look forward to the impact Drew, Mark and Aaron will have on our member’s experience!
Dr. Aaron Witek Joins Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps as Brass Pedagogy and Teaching Effectiveness Specialist!
The Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps proudly welcomes Dr. Aaron Witek to its distinguished team in the new role of Brass Pedagogy and Teaching Effectiveness Specialist. In this significant position, Dr. Witek will lead the charge in elevating the corps’ brass education program, leveraging his extensive experience and expertise in the field.“
Dr. Witek’s appointment represents a substantial strengthening of the Crossmen staff. Dr. Witek will play a pivotal role in shaping an extensive and progressive brass curriculum, working closely with the brass caption manager to ensure it aligns seamlessly with the corps’ educational objectives. Furthermore, he will extend his mentorship and provide valuable professional development opportunities to our brass educators and the broader community.” said Ed Devlin Program Director.
Dr. Witek expresses, “Being back with the Crossmen for the 50th anniversary is a profound honor. I’m genuinely thrilled about the prospect of collaborating with the members and staff, aiming to unlock the fullest potential in each brass section member, both as individuals and as accomplished musicians. Mark Figueroa’s outstanding efforts last year in nurturing the culture and heritage of the Crossmen have set an admirable precedent. Dr. Drew Shanefield stands as one of the preeminent arrangers in the entire activity. Our prior collaborations have been consistently rewarding and moments I truly cherish. The unwavering dedication both of these gentlemen bring to their craft is truly commendable, and I am entirely confident that our collective endeavors will yield incredible results for the Crossmen.”
