Stephen Mason, an Asheville, NC native, earned his bachelor's degrees at Mars Hills College in North Carolina.  Mr. Mason then went on to earn his masters degree in euphonium performance at the University of California at Los Angeles where he studied with Pat Sheridan and Gordon Henderson.

Stephen has been active in the drum corps community for 11 years, teaching and consulting with the Carolina Gold, Troopers, Carolina Crown, and is starting his fifth season with the Crossmen. Outside of drum corps, Stephen is a sought after clinician and Judge. He has Judged and worked with programs from all over the United States, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, and Costa Rica. Stephen is currently the winds Director of Rhythm X, based in Dayton, OH.

This will be Mr. Mason's fifth year with the Crossmen!
