Xavier Yankey
Guard Weapon Choreographer

Originally from Angola, Indiana, Xavier Yankey's journey in the performing arts began in high school through marching band and color guard. His passion for performance continued while attending Ball State University, where he performed with Interplay Winter Guard, Legacy Performing Arts, and Rhythm's Dance Troupe while earning his B.S. in Professional Selling.
Following his time as a performer, Xavier found a passion for education, choreography, and mentorship. Over the years, he has worked with a variety of scholastic and independent color guard programs throughout Central Indiana, helping performers develop their skills, confidence, and love for the activity.
Xavier currently serves as Co-Director of the Color Guard program at Fishers High School, where he works with students to develop their skills in movement, equipment, and performance. As an educator and choreographer, Xavier leads with an empathetic mindset and strives to meet performers where they are at physically and mentally. He believes this supports performance growth, not only in choreography but in artistry.
Outside of teaching, Xavier continues performing with local organizations including Indy Pride Guard, Relevations Dance Theatre, and others, combining his love of performance with his commitment to community. Professionally, he works as a Realtor in the Indianapolis area, helping clients navigate one of life's biggest milestones.
