Wes Pendergrass

Crossmen Productions is eXcited to announce the return of Wesley Pendergrass of Bentonville, Arkansas, for his second season with the Crossmen. Building on the momentum of his inaugural year, Wes will take on an expanded leadership role in 2027 as Program Coordinator and Visual Designer.

As Visual Designer, Pendergrass will help lead the corps’ transition toward a movement-first approach built around organic transitions, intentional staging, and the integration of movement throughout the production.

Wes has spent the past 22 years shaping productions across the United States and abroad, with design credits spanning the U.S., Japan, China, and Thailand. His work encompasses program design, consultation, and staging/drill, with a portfolio stretching from small-town football fields to some of the marching arts’ most prestigious stages.

In WGI, Pendergrass’ work spans every competitive class, A, Open, and World, and all three divisions: Color Guard, Winds, and Percussion. Ensembles featuring his design and staging have earned 29 WGI medals, including 13 WGI World Championship Gold Medals across all three divisions.

In the marching band arena, his clients have appeared in BOA Grand National Finals and earned Finals placements at BOA Super Regionals in San Antonio, Indianapolis, Atlanta, and St. Louis. His designs have also helped ensembles reach USBands Championships Finals and State Finals across the country.

Before stepping away from drum corps education and design for 12 years, Wes worked with, designed for, and consulted with multiple Open and World Class organizations, with competitive achievements ranging from Open Class Champions to World Class Finalists. His return to The Crossmen in fall 2025 marked his return to the drum corps activity.

Beyond the marching arts, Wesley’s experience in spectacle design has taken him to corporate shareholder meetings, political inaugurations, Olympic Opening Ceremonies, and both the Summer and Winter X Games, along with other large-scale productions where logistics, movement, and visual storytelling must operate as one.
