Wes Pendergrass

Wesley Pendergrass, of Bentonville, Arkansas has spent the past 20+ years shaping productions across the U.S. and abroad, with design credits spanning the United States, Japan, China, and Thailand. His work encompasses full program design, consultation, and staging/drill, with a portfolio that stretches from small town football fields to the activity’s most prestigious stages.

In WGI, Pendergrass’ influence extends across every class and division (A, Open, World). This success has yielded 26 medals and 13 WGI World Championship Golds across Guard, Winds, and Percussion classes—a rare sweep of all three divisions.

In the marching band arena, his clients have earned appearances at BOA Grand National Finals, as well as Finals placements at BOA Super Regionals in San Antonio, Indianapolis, Atlanta, and St. Louis. His designs have also carried ensembles into USBands Championships Finals and numerous State Finals across the nation—including UIL (TX), CBA (CO), KMEA (KY), NYSFBC (NY), KBA (KS), OBA (OK), ASBOA (AR), NSBA (NE), SCBDA (SC), MBA (MS), WBA (CA), ISSMA (IN), and FMBC (FL).

A decade long drum corps veteran (including 5 years with the Phantom Regiment), Pendergrass aged out into the instructor ranks for a short time and has since taken consultant and producer roles for a wide range of drum corps in various competitive arenas.

Beyond the marching arts, Wesley’s expertise in spectacle design has brought him to corporate shareholder meetings, political inaugurations, Olympic Opening Ceremonies, and the Summer and Winter X Games, as well as other large-scale events that demand both problem solving and imagination.
