Tyler Broadhurst
Percussion Caption Manager

Tyler Broadhurst is excited to serve as Percussion Caption Manager for the Crossmen
Drum & Bugle Corps! He has been a band director in the state of Texas since 2015, and a
music educator since 2010. Percussion students and bands under his direction have
consistently been awarded top honors in UIL, All-Region, Solo & Ensemble, and Indoor
Percussion, most recently with Tomball HS earning the silver medal at the 2025 WGI
World Championships.
Mr. Broadhurst has been an active performer and an educator in the Marching Arts
community for over a decade. He has been a performing member of both the Troopers
and Revolution Drum & Bugle Corps (DCI World/Open Class), section leader for the
Troopers Legacy Corps (DCI All-Age), and was also a battery technician for Red River
Rhythm Independent (WGI). In 2024, he served as Percussion Caption Head for the
Guardians Drum & Bugle Corps.
He holds a Bachelor of Music from Henderson State University, is a member of TBA,
TMEA, PAS, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Stryvemind Percussion, and is an Educational
Artist for Innovative Percussion Inc.
Tyler lives in Tomball, TX with his lovely wife, Candace, and their pup, Drako. Outside
of teaching, Tyler enjoys playing drums in his church worship band, staying active with
workouts, gaming, and cheering for the Texas Rangers.
He takes pride in building incredibly musical percussion sections, and is extremely
happy to be joining the Bones family!
