Ty Slaugenhoup

Ty Slaugenhoup is an active performer, educator, and arranger within the marching arts. He has instructed multiple high school programs local to West Virginia, as well as assisted said programs in battery and tenor drum arranging. Ty is also completing his studies for a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Wellbeing from West Virginia University, with hopes to become an Occupational Therapist one day.

Serving as a tenor drummer, Ty began his marching career with the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps in 2021, where he was a 3-year member through the 2023 season, serving as the tenor drum section leader for his age-out season. Ty was also a member of Rhythm X for the 2022 and 2024 seasons. During his career as a performer, Ty has had the privilege of being instructed by many notable educators in the activity, including Tom Rarick, Roger Carter, Josh Brickey, Tim Jackson, Ryan Kilgore, Adam Norris, Thomas Claesen, Suvin Varghese, and Jared Andrews.
