Rob Starling

Rob Starling is a dedicated educator and trumpet player based in Bloomington, Indiana, where

he is currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Music Education at the Indiana University Jacobs School

of Music. He has over a decade of performance experience including concert bands, jazz

ensembles, orchestras, and solo and chamber settings. From 2020 to 2023, Rob marched

trumpet with the Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps, serving as section leader in their final season,

before aging out in 2024 with the Bluecoats.

Rob has taught marching band at Columbus North and Columbus East high schools in

Columbus, Indiana since 2024, where he works with the brass program and designs and

teaches hornline choreography. In 2025 he served as a brass intern at the Cavaliers Drum and

Bugle Corps.
