Ohnyale Patterson

Ohnyale Patterson currently resides in South Carolina, where he serves as a Peer Support

Coordinator and Behavioral Interventionist for his local school district and state agency. With a

deep passion for music education and performance, Ohnyale brings over a decade of marching

and instructional experience to every ensemble he works with.

His marching career began at Siegel High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, followed by

performing with Music City Drum Corps as a charter member and later aged-out with the

Bluecoats Drum Corps. He concluded his marching career with Palmetto Percussion.

Transitioning into education and instruction, Ohnyale has held numerous teaching and

leadership roles. He served as a Cymbal Technician for Palmetto Percussion and Mandarins

Drum Corps, and Visual Technician for Music City Drum Corps. He has also worked with

Guardians Drum Corps as a Cymbal Technician.

Currently, Ohnyale continues to shape the next generation of performers as the Cymbal

Technician and Visual Caption Head at Dorman High School and previously Cymbal Coordinator

and Administrator for Civitas Independent (2014–2025). Ohnyale is the marching arts leading

connoisseur in everything Oreo.
