Noah Avelar
Front Ensemble Coordinator

Noah Avelar is a percussionist, educator, composer, and arranger from Corpus Christi, Texas.
He received his Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in music from the University of North Texas
and East Texas A&M University respectively, and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts
degree at Michigan State University.
Noah brings extensive teaching and performance experience to both battery and front
ensemble sections. In addition to being the Crossmen’s Front Ensemble Coordinator, he serves
on the educational staff for Michigan State University’s Drumline, the Troopers’ front ensemble
staff, and is a consultant for esteemed marching bands in the North Texas area such as Flower
Mound High School and Lone Star High School. Prior to these endeavors, he served as the
battery coordinator for East Texas A&M University’s “Pride Marching Band”, as an ensemble
coordinator/consultant for the NTCA Champion Lewisville Indoor Drumline, and on the
percussion staff for Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps in 2023, which placed second in the
Open Class percussion caption.
In every one of his educational pursuits, Noah is dedicated to creating meaningful experiences
for his students. He is enthusiastic to join the Crossmen staff and to contribute to the
organization's goal of creating a life-changing educational experience for all who participate.
