Michael Coleman

Michael Coleman was born in Houston, TX and graduated from Texas Tech University in 2013 with a degree in music education. He began his drum corps career marching Spartans in 2008 on bass drum, and continued with them for the 2010 season. In 2011, Michael marched bass drum with the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps. After graduating from college, he began his teaching career in Fort Worth before moving down to Houston, Texas where he served as percussion director of Clear Creek High School from 2017-2022.

Michael has also been teaching drum corps since 2014, where he was the bass tech for the Guardians their first year in Open Class, Genesis DBC, and most recently Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps. Michael currently resides in Houston, TX where he's now working as a cybersecurity analyst but still enjoys drumming and teaching percussion in his free time.
