John Meehan

John Meehan is honored and excited to join the Crossmen in the role of Brass Arranger, Composer, and Music Coordinator.

Currently, John is the Executive and Artistic Director for Spiritus Marching Arts Association in Calgary, Alberta. He is also a designer and consultant for the Calgary Round-Up Band and Calgary Stetson Show Band.

John has been on the educational and design staff of the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps since 1994, where he is currently the brass arranger for the A, B, & C Corps Programs.

John has been composing and arranging for marching bands around the world since 1992, and is a world-renowned clinician on brass pedagogy, ensemble technique, and performance excellence.

John was inducted into the Drum Corps International Hall of Fame in 2019, the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame in 2019, and the Buglers Hall of the Fame in 2016.

John lives in Calgary, Alberta with his incredibly supportive wife Jackie, and together they have 3 daughters, and an awesome rescue dog named Sully.
