Dan Morrison

Daniel Morrison the former Director of Bands at Ronald Reagan High School in San Antonio, TX, and the founder of Happy, Not Satisfied and Morrison Creative LLC. He also serves as the program coordinator for the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps.


During his tenure at Reagan, Dan's creative leadership propelled the band to national recognition. Under his direction, the ensemble became a consistent UIL State Marching Contest Finalist, a multiple-time Bands of America (BOA) Regional and Super Regional Champion, and a BOA Grand National Finalist. His bands also performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, the Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA, and The Midwest Clinic in Chicago, IL. In recognition of their excellence, the program received the National Band Association National Blue Ribbon Award. In 2020, Dan was honored as Young Band Director of the Year in Texas.


Beyond his work in education, Dan is a sought-after marching arts designer. Programs he collaborates with have earned BOA regional championships, UIL state finalist placements, Western Band Association state championships, and invitations to the Macy’s and Rose Parades.


Dan holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in music education from the University of Illinois, as well as an MBA from the USC Marshall School of Business. He currently resides in San Antonio, TX, with his family.
