Ben Cendan

Ben Cendan is the Associate Band Director at Lake Nona High School in Orlando, FL and will be joining the Crossmen as a trumpet tech. He graduated from Florida State University in 2020 with a Bachelor's in Music Education and studied primarily with Dr. Christopher Moore. At Lake Nona High School, he helps conduct the three concert bands, three jazz bands, and the “Sound of the Lions” marching band. Outside of the classroom, he can be seen performing with the Brass Band of Central Florida as the Soprano Cornetist.

In Drum Corps, Ben was a member of the Boston Crusaders (2016) and Carolina Crown (2017, and 2018). He received the Jim Ott Memorial Award with Carolina Crown in 2017. While at FSU, he was a member of the Marching Chiefs, University Wind Ensemble, University Philharmonic Orchestra, and University Opera Orchestra. He also performed in a university trumpet ensemble that placed 3rd (2018) and 2nd (2019) at the National Trumpet Competition.

Outside of music, Ben spends his free time rock climbing, playing disc golf, and cooking!
