Avery Turman

Avery is a percussionist and educator from Little Elm Texas. He brings a wealth of

knowledge from his performance and teaching experiences, and is currently pursuing

his bachelor's degree in music education at the University of North Texas.

He has served as the Highland Park High School front ensemble coordinator and lesson

teacher since 2021, and is currently the front ensemble coordinator for the Green

Brigade at the University of North Texas. Additionally he has also worked with other

decorated high schools in the North Texas area such as Argyle High School and

McKinney High School. He is currently on the Vigilantes Indoor Percussion front

ensemble staff and was a front ensemble staff member for Guardians in 2024.

His performance experience includes two seasons with Guardians DBC from

2021-2022, and his age out season at The Casper Troopers in 2023. He also marched

WGI with the Vigilantes Indoor Percussion from 2022-2024

He is very excited to be working with Crossmen to cultivate an enriching environment

and positive culture while striving for excellence!
