Addison Pellegrino is a percussion educator, performer, and clinician based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Now in his eighth year as an educator, he serves as the Director of Percussion at Burleson Centennial High School, where he leads the percussion program at his alma mater. Before assuming this full-time role, Addison spent two years working with Centennial's marching percussion program and indoor drumline as a percussion instructor.
Throughout his career, Addison has worked with students at every stage of their musical development as a band director, percussion director, private instructor, clinician, adjudicator, and consultant.
Before returning to Burleson Centennial, Addison maintained a private percussion studio of more than 60 students across the Hebron High School cluster, including Hebron High School, Arbor Creek Middle School, Killian Middle School, and Creek Valley Middle School. In addition to teaching private lessons, he presented masterclasses and assisted with the Hebron High School marching percussion program.
Addison previously served as the Director of Percussion at Ranchview High School and Irving High School. During his tenure at Ranchview, he significantly expanded the percussion program, reestablished a successful private-lesson program, and helped the program earn consistent superior ratings in marching band, concert and sight-reading evaluations, and solo and ensemble competitions. His students also earned numerous placements in region ensembles and advanced through multiple levels of the Texas All-State audition process.
Addison earned his Bachelor of Music Education with a concentration in percussion from Northwestern State University of Louisiana, graduating summa cum laude.
As a performer, Addison remains active throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. His performance credits include appearances with the South Arkansas Symphony, Dallas Brass Band, and British Brass Band of Louisiana. He also performed as a member of the Oregon Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps and the Louisiana Stars Drum and Bugle Corps.
