Chris Morris

Chris’s connection to the marching arts began at age three. His father performed in the U.S. Naval Academy Drum and Bugle Corps and later, while teaching at the Academy, introduced Chris to the activity. As a freshman with the Oakton High School Marching Cougars, Chris discovered Drum Corps International through PBS broadcasts and upperclassmen marching with the Crossmen. He marched soprano bugle with the Crossmen in 1998 and 1999 and, most recently, took the field with the Crossmen 50th Alumni Corps.

Professionally, Chris brings more than two decades of experience leading high‑performing software delivery teams. At AT&T, he helped launch Aio Wireless’s digital experiences, led the digital technology organization through the merger with Cricket Wireless, and guided the scaling of teams and platforms after the merger. He served as a founding technology partner for Campless, the sneaker‑data startup that evolved into StockX following its acquisition.

Chris holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology. While at Georgia Tech, he also marched with the Yellow Jacket Marching Band. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, Elizabeth, and their high school-aged daughter.

As a board member, he draws on his experience in technology leadership, team building, and scalable operations to create life-changing experiences for members, deepen alumni engagement, and expand the Crossmen’s impact.
