Suzie Kim Garner

Instructor

A native of northeast and central Ohio, Suzie Kim Garner is a dedicated and passionate educator.

Suzie began her drum corps career marching baritone for Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps from 2007 through 2009 before aging out with Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps in 2011. She has also performed with Rhythm X as a member of the visual ensemble in 2011.  Suzie has been on the brass staff with the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps Corps since 2019. 

Suzie attended The Ohio State University, where she obtained her bachelor's degrees in music education and euphonium performance. While a student, Suzie was an active member of Tau Beta Sigma and The Ohio State University Marching Band. After graduation, she began her career as the Director of Instrumental Music at Westland High School in Galloway, Ohio, where she taught for eight years. Suzie is currently the Director of Bands at Butler County High School in Morgantown, Kentucky.

Suzie received her master's of education in music education from Capital University and is currently working towards a doctorate degree in educational leadership from the University of the Cumberlands. Suzie lives in Bowling Green, Kentucky, with her husband, Cody, bonus children Rager and Ali, and their dogs, Delta and Cooper.
