Jake Ball is a professional trumpeter originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. Jake studied Jazz Studies at the University of Cincinnati - College Conservatory of Music with additional studies in Trumpet Performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder. 

Jake has a deep love for DCI and the Marching Arts. An alumni of the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps, Jake started as a DCI Instructor in 2008. Most recently he worked with 2016 Mandarins, 2017/2018 Blue Stars, and 2019 Crossmen. He is very excited to return for a second year with the Crossmen in 2020!

Jake is a versatile Trumpeter, performing regularly in all styles. Now 35 years old, Jake spent 15 years traveling the globe playing on Cruise Ships, Broadway Touring Productions, and with various National Acts. 

Currently living in Houston Texas, Jake teaches Trumpet and Marching Band for Tomball ISD and also performs regularly.
