Christy Hobby is currently residing in Orlando, Florida and working as an Elementary School Music Teacher.  Graduating from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a Minor in General Business, she has recently begun her career in education and the performing arts. She enjoys teaching both music and color guard throughout the state during the school year.  

Beginning her color guard career in Tampa, FL in 2005, Christy would later become a member of the University of South Florida Herd of Thunder and USF Winterguard from 2009-2014, with leadership roles from 2011-2014. Christy’s drum corps career began in 2011 with the Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps. She marched for 3 years (2011-2013) and aged out with the Cadets in 2013. 

While teaching many high school groups in the Orlando area, Christy also teaches Tampa Independent Winterguard. She helped to found the organization in 2014 and has been on staff there every since. During the summer, Christy teaches the University of South Florida Color Guard Summer Camp and has been on staff with the Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps for the last five years. 

Christy is very excited to begin her journey with the Crossmen Color Guard and is looking forward to a great summer!
