As the situation with (COVID-19) continues to have global impact, we wanted to reach out and update our community on what Crossmen prepares to do in these difficult and challenging times.
At Crossmen, we believe it is our role and responsibility, during this time, to prioritize the health and well-being of our members, staff and volunteers, while also playing a constructive role in supporting local health officials and government leaders as they work to contain the virus. Through that lens, we will practice facts over fear and make informed decisions based in transparency and science, while also doing our part to help stop the spread of the virus.
This is a pandemic - it is not about lethality, but the rate of transmissibility. It is our responsibility to ensure the members and staff feel safe, and as of right now, the risk of exposure is too great.
At this time, in partnership with Drum Corps International and under the guidance of the CDC, Crossmen Productions believes that it is in every student’s best interest that the April Camp be cancelled.
Crossmen continues to actively work with the Board of Directors, health and wellness advisors, and with guidance from local, state and federal organizations to maintain all regulations with the safety of our community at the forefront.
Paralleling their work, Crossmen will also continue to work closely with DCI to unilaterally work toward a successful summer. We understand that “what-if” questions will arise in regards to Spring Training and Tour. Most of the questions are being actively discussed in-house and at the DCI level. As the situation unfolds, many of your unanswered questions will be acknowledged and answered to the best of our ability. We ask for your patience and understanding through this uniquely challenging time.
As the information changes daily, we will make decisions based on the situation at that time. We will do our best to communicate as early as possible. However, to ensure all adjustments that are made are absolutely necessary, please understand that timing may not be ideal.
These are truly uncharted times and we're learning right alongside you as we navigate COVID–19 together. We are proud of the swift decisions must make in the face of diversity, and know we will always do what's best for our Crossmen Community. Thank you for your continued loyalty and support.
