Tyler Edrington - Color Guard Caption Head

Tyler Edrington began his performance career in the early 2000’s while growing up in Ooltewah, Tennessee. His performance experience includes Ooltewah High School 2004-2008, Phantom Regiment 2008, 2009 & 2010, Capella Winterguard 2010, Paramount Winter Guard 2011 & 2012 and Carolina Crown 2011.

Tyler has always been surrounded with music since the age of seven where he was a 10-year member of the Chattanooga Boys Choir. He attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he began to pursue a degree in music education with an emphasis on saxophone. Tyler was a member of the marching band, concert band, wind ensemble, saxophone quartet, chamber singers, male chorus, and Opera. While a member of the saxophone quartet, Tyler had the opportunity to perform at the U.S. Navy band saxophone symposium. Tyler is also a member of the Golden Key Honor Society and a founding father of the Chattanooga Chapter, Delta Upsilon.

Since 2008, Tyler has been designing and choreographing for many successful color guard and band programs across the country. A few of his most recent programs include Bellbrook High School (2016), Allegoria Winterguard (2016) and East Lake High School of El Paso, Texas, who he helped capture their WGI A class silver medal in 2015 and placed in 2016 WGI open class finals. Tyler is in his 9th year as the Ooltewah High School Color Guard director, where he brought back out the winterguard program and lead them to 3 consecutive medals in the SAPA circuit. During the winter seasons, Tyler has been a technician at Paramount World Winterguard since 2013, and guided the Reverie Winterguard program into their first ever finals appearance at the 2016 WGI World Championships with both his design and choreography.

Since 2012, Tyler has been a technician, primary designer, choreographer and the Color Guard Caption Head (2014-present) for the Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps.

Tyler currently resides in Ooltewah, Tennessee where enjoys cooking, fishing, and traveling with his friends and family.
