Rich Kim

A NJ native, Rich started his marching career with the South Brunswick marching band, colorguard, and winterguard. After graduating high school, he continued marching with St Ann's World and Blessed Sacrament World. 

For the past 15 years, he has designed shows, soundtracks, and consulted for many programs including SBVE (NJ), Miamisburg HS (OH), Sacred Heart (MA), Blessed Sacrament World and Open (MA), and Fusion Core Drum Corps (NJ). He was a choreographer and tech of the award winning Bushwackers colorguard from 2005-2009 and was caption head in his last year. He was also the colorguard director at King Philip High School from 2005-2010.

He currently designs for Washington HS (MO) - 2 time WGI SA finalist, Emanon World (NJ) - 5 time WGI IW Finalist, and Somerville High School (NJ), the WGI 2012 SA Champion and 2015 SO champion. 

Rich is a practicing artist, ranging in media from painting, installation, and video. He received his BFA in Visual Arts from Rutgers Univ-Mason Gross, MSAE from MassArt, and MFA from MICA. He has published several articles on art education and has presented research on creativity and contemporary art at many conferences across the US. He is in his 12th year as a high school art teacher in Walpole, MA teaching ceramics and sculpture, and has been the director of the school's dance company for the past 10 years
