2013 Crossmen Protest Tour

Day 5, Tuesday June 18th
Rehearsal Day at Malvern High School, Malvern, Arkansas

The morning was quiet and cooler than we have been experiencing lately. The rehearsal day was productive and had lots of spectators from the Malvern Band. Regarding the guard coach, our friends at Gotta Go Trailways went right to work addressing the problem at their shop in Fort Worth. It was deemed that we would be sent a new motorcoach as the issue with our original ride was more involved than originally suspected. The guys at the shop were in constant communication with me as to the status and expectation as the day went on. Thank you for the great save Bernard! Your service keeps us on track and on time. Lilly was driven to Malvern in a booster car. She arrived at 3 pm so that she could be well rested for the night's ride. The replacement motorcoach was given the white glove inspection and thorough mechanical double check before heading our way with a DFW based driver that would return in the booster car and turn the keys over to Lilly. The plan worked flawlessly. The staff waited no more than 10 minutes and was loading their new ride as the rest of the convoy was pulling out of Malvern. The whole convoy was reunited at the first scheduled fuel stop and we arrived early to our White House Heritage High School housing site in White House, TN. Mission accomplished!
