Matt Willis

Matt Willis is currently a band director in the Harrisonville Missouri School district, south of Kansas City Missouri. In 2005 he marched lead trumpet with the Dubuque Colts and aged out in 2006 under the instruction of Jason Buckingham. Matt was on brass staff with the Colts from 2007-2009. He earned his degree in Music Education from Northwest Missouri State University. Matt has worked with various Kansas City Middle School and High School bands as a visual and brass clinician and staff member. He currently performs with the seven time National Champion and current Scottish Champion Fountain City Brass Band. Matt is also an assistant director of their successful youth program. Matthew lives in Harrisonville, MO with his wife Caitlin and is pleased to be returning with the Crossmen for 2012.
