March Camp Wrap-up

Crossmen had another busy, but successful rehearsal camp the weekend of March 28 - March 30 at Judson Middle School in Converse, TX. The weekend included a performance of the National Anthem at the Major League Baseball game between the Texas Rangers and the Houston Astros as part of the "San Antonio Big League Weekend." Despite members traveling from all over the country to arrive at camp, close to 65 performers arrived early to participate in this special performance. "These are the types of events that keep Crossmen as a staple of the San Antonio community," said Fred Morrison, Executive Director. "Our presence in San Antonio continues to grow year after year, and performing for an event of this magnitude is such a unique opportunity for the entire corps!"

Over the weekend, Crossmen pieced together the remaining music of the 2014 production, concluding with a full run through on Sunday. In addition, the visual team, under the direction of Caption Head Brad Slusarczyk and Drill Designer Mike Hardiek, taught close to 20 pages of drill to the membership. "The work ethic and approach of the 2014 membership is remarkable for this stage in the game," said Brad Slusarczyk, caption head. "We have a lot to do in the coming weeks and months, but we are off to a great start!"

Stay tuned for a 2014 show announcement in the coming weeks! The 40th anniversary season of Crossmen is something you will not want to miss!
