Sound & Equipment
Corps Logistics & Planning
Crossmen Productions Inc., is currently seeking highly motivated and passionate individuals who would like to join the 2012 Crossmen administrative team. If you are a self-starter and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, then this internship is for you!
Interns who work with the Crossmen gain valuable and practical, hands-on experience. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in music education, nonprofit administration, event management, working in the live music industry, and many other fields.
Crossmen Productions, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit youth arts organization. Our mission is to assist young people on becoming outstanding individuals through the performing arts.
All interns must have at least one year of college education, be able to lift 50 lbs, have a valid driver's licence, be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, and have great attitudes.
At the end of the summer, interns will have a global understanding of what it takes to run a World Class Drum Corps. In order for our interns to gain a wide range of experience and knowledge, they will work in many areas beyond their specialty.
Standard Crossmen positions include:
- Marketing & Communications Intern - Will be involved in multiple projects involving social media, e-newsletters, and marketing merchandise. Graphic design knowledge is a plus.
- Culinary Intern - This intern will work closely with our Food Manager and will learn everything there is to learn about managing food service for 200+. From food orders to food service this is an excellent resume builder.
- Corps Logistics & Planning Intern - These interns will work closely with the Tour Director and play an integral role in getting the corps down the road.
All positions will work closely with the Director, Assistant Director, and Tour Director while on tour.
- Creative Arts Intern - This intern will work closely with the administration and will be responsible for completing small projects involving our YouTube channel, the DCI FanNetwork, and our website.
The Crossmen Summer Internship program is a full-time internship. Interns will begin work mid-May and it will last until mid-August, at the end of our Championship week in Indianapolis, Indiana. Beginning and end times are flexible based on your schedule.
Internships are currently available for the Crossmen Drum Corps, which is a national touring ensemble. We are based out of San Antonio, TX, but if you are selected for the position you would need to be able to travel with us throughout the summer.
Depending on your institution you may be eligible to receive college credit. All interns will get four meals a day while on tour, free travel on our coaches, and admission to DCI and Crossmen related events.
