Hannah Griffore - Instructor

Hannah Griffore began her colorguard career by accident. Originally thinking she would be trying out for the high school cheer team, her ride to cheer auditions ended up taking her to colorguard auditions instead. The rest is history. Hannah performed with the Jenison High School Colorguard from 2006-2009. From there she went on to march with Interplay Winterguard in 2009 and 2010. She continued her education and experience at the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps for four seasons from 2009-2012. At the Blue Stars, she served as one of the captains for the 2011 and 2012 seasons. During the winters of 2011-2013, she performed with Zydeco Winter Guard, serving as one of the co-captains for the 2013 season. She finished out her marching seasons marching the Pride of Cincinnati Winterguard in 2015.

Hannah has continued her involvement in the activity through teaching. She taught at Jenison High School for four years, serving as a weapon and dance technician. She additionally helped with Interplay Winterguard, serving as a weapon technician for the Independent A team. She currently works at Northview High School, serving as a weapon technician. Hannah spent to winter seasons choreographing and teaching Medley Winterguard in West Michigan as well. She has taught and choreographed at multiple high schools, including Carroll High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana and Texas A&M Commerce in Commerce, Texas. In the summer of 2014, she taught at the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps, as the lead movement technician. Hannah taught the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps as a flag technician for the first time in the summer of 2016.

During these years of marching and teaching, Hannah earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She is passionate about working with individuals with developmental disabilities and is continuing to work in these fields. Hannah is also currently employed working for a medical supplier and is excited for new volunteer opportunities to help young children in the Grand Rapids area.

Hannah likes to recycle jokes, read as much as possible, watch her little sister pursue her dreams in softball, and she recently signed up for her first half marathon just for "fun."  She is so thrilled to be a part of the ever-welcoming Crossmen team for a third season!
