Hello Gary, Welcome to Crossmen!

Crossmen eXperience Day 2010

Side-by-Side with Crossmen!

Open to middle school and high school level students.  Brass, woodwind, percussion and colorguard performers all invited!

Students in the eXperience Day Camp will rehearse and perform with the Crossmen Drum Corps! Current and aspiring marching band students will learn fundamentals and music from the Crossmen’s show, and will perform with the corps Friday night at the Marching Music eXtravaganza! Presented by Crossmen Productions Inc..

What You’ll Learn:

While the performance opportunity with Crossmen is unforgettable, the focus is on much more than just learning music. Each student will learn some of the important fundamentals involved in creating a high level performance, such as creating a balanced and musical sound at all dynamic levels, how to approach playing while moving, getting a uniform marching look, and creating music effect.

Students meet and get to know other marching band students from across the area who are "very much like them," while sharing with each other their experiences from a variety of backgrounds.  Students experience a national faculty, national standards and a safe away-from home drum corps eXperience.  Leadership development is the theme that runs throughout the camp curriculum.

In addition, eXperience Day Camp attendees will perform with the Crossmen that evening at the Marching Music eXtravaganza where the drum corps will debut the 2010 Tour Production “Full Circle”.   We encourage all band members, parents, educators and fans of drum corps to come out that evening and watch the only World Class Drum Corps in the Lone Star State as we prepare to leave on our 2010 tour.
