Hello Gary, Welcome to Crossmen!

Crossmen select 2009 Drum Majors

The Crossmen announced today that Meghan Huber and Michael Roche will serve as drum majors for the 2009 season.

Meghan Huber is returning from last season and is the 2008 Jim Jones DCI Outstanding Drum Major recipient.   Huber, a native of Linwood, N.J., is in her senior year at Rutgers University, where she’s a Dean’s List student in biomedical engineering.   She says she’s looking forward to leading the Crossmen again next season.   “The most impacting lesson I learned this season from being drum major was to never lose sight of my goals,” she said. “Everyone has challenges and triumphs. It’s what you learn while experiencing them that affects who you are as a person in the long run.”

Michael Roche is from South Brunswick, NJ and will be entering West Chester University to study Music Education in the fall of 2009.   He has served as Drum Major of the South Brunswick High School Viking Marching Band for the past 2 years and is a member of the SBHS Wind Ensemble which performed at the National Concert Band Festival in 2008.   Mike is also a member of the Jazz Band, Concert Choir and the SBHS Theater Company.    Recently, Mike was selected by Bands of America/Music for All as the Drum Major for the Honor Band of America that will perform on New Year’s Day in the Tournament of Roses Parade.
