Collin Pagel
Collin Pagel is a part-time percussion instructor and private lessons teacher in the Austin area, as well as a percussion designer and arranger.
After graduating high school, Collin became a charter member of the Tyler Junior College indoor percussion ensemble, who finished as a PIO finalist at the 2007 WGI World Championships. In 2008, Collin returned to the TJC indoor percussion ensemble, receiving the gold medal at the WGI World Championships. For the 2008 drum corps season, he performed with Spirit Drum and Bugle Corps as snare line section leader, and then went on to perform with the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps for his age out season in 2009. For the 2010 winter season, Collin returned for his third and final year with the TJC indoor percussion ensemble, who finished as a PIW finalst at the 2010 WGI World Championships. More recently, Collin competed in the 2010 PASIC College Small Ensemble competition with the Texas State University snare ensemble, receiving first place in all captions.
Collin's teaching career began with the Lorena High School drumline from Lorena, Texas, who received 2nd place at the PASIC small ensemble competition in 2006. In the summer of 2007, he worked as an instructor for the Midway High School drumline in Waco, Texas, as well as the Waco High School drumline in 2010. Collin is currently in his 4th season as the percussion caption head and designer/arranger for the Lake Travis High School Marchind Band and Indoor Drumline in Austin, Texas.
Currently residing in San Marcos, Texas, Collin is a full-time music education student at Texas State University.
