Chad Huel



Chad is in his 12th year of teaching within Regina Public Schools and he is in his 7th year as Band Director of Winston Knoll High School and surrounding elementary schools in Regina Saskatchewan, Canada. He teaches over 300 students which combine to make up two Grade 6 Concert Bands, a Grade 7 Concert Band, a Grade 8 Concert Band, a Grade 7 Jazz Band, a Grade 8 Jazz Band, a High School Concert Band, a High School Wind Ensemble, and two High School Jazz Ensembles. Under his direction, his bands consistently recieve superior ratings at festivals such as the Downtowners Optimist Band Festival and the Moose Jaw Kinsman Band Festival. This past year, three of Chad's groups were invited to perform at Musicfest Canada which is held in Vancouver, British Columbia in 2010. Before teaching in the Regina Public School System, Chad taught the Regina Lions Band from 1993-2003. This was an extra-curricular type of organization which provided opportunities such as Concert Band, Jazz Band, Winter Drumline, Winter Color Guard, and Marching Band. Chad graduated with a B.Mus.Ed from the University of Regina in 2000. Chad has taught with numerous drum corps such as Pioneer, Allegiance Elite, and the Colts. The 2012 season represents Chad's second season with the Crossmen.
