2013 Crossmen Protest Tour

Day 39, Sunday, July 21th
Free Day- San Antonio Riverwalk
Housing-
Canyon HS, New Braunfels,TX

The morning started with breakfast and a new project. Yamaha is celebrating its 125 Anniversary this year. Crossmen, DCI and the other Yamaha powered drum corps are helping them celebrate. For the Crossmen this means recording us spelling out 125 in drill and having the members say "Happy 125th Anniversary Yamaha". This recording will serve as our special birthday card for one of our biggest supporting companies. Without them and the world class equipment that they build we couldn't work that special magic that we do. They are a great company with great products and great people. Yamaha is the best!

After the videotaping the corps finished the block with a brief rehearsal, then EPL'd. The trip to the parking lot at the dome was brief and one the corps enjoyed. They will spend the day on the San Antonio Riverwalk with friends and family. It is a well deserved brief time away from drum corps.

Maureen rove me and my gear to meet up with the corps in the Alamodome lot. We said our goodbyes knowing that we would be together again during Championship Week. We head out to Dallas and Southlake Carroll HS.
