2013 Crossmen Protest Tour
Day 25, Monday July 8thEast Troy HS is a very Drum Corps friendly school. The Scouts were here till 11pm and we rolled in a few hours later. It is time to get some work done. Every year we set aside three days prior to the first regional for show changes or revisions. They could be music only, drill only, guard work or all three. In this case we are making some really interesting changes to the end of the show. I am thrilled with the revisions. The last couple of minutes are remarkably improved on all levels. Ed, Chuck, Andrew and the guard designers did an incredible job of making something really good into something really great. Each section spent the day getting the revised material under their belt. We did have to dodge 30 minutes of rain and lightning around lunch time indoors and then a pretty hefty rainstorm in the early evening. The stadium field drained really well and we were able to get on the field in order to bring the sections together with the new material. We made heavy use of the insect repellant after the sun went down though as the mosquitoes are rumored to carry away small children into the woods here. They were definitely big and thirsty!
Rehearsal/Show Revision Day
Housing- East Troy HS, East Troy, WI
After rehearsal and snack the corps bedded down for the night. The nights where we don't move are priceless as everyone gets to lay flat for 8 hours of sleep. Good night Crossmen!
This photo shows a partial list of our Club Unity Leadership Circle. These donors names represent the families that meet the largest contribution level to Club Unity. The list is growing as we head back to San Antonio. We will be adding names when we make our homecoming next week. Thank you for your support! More Leadership Circle Members There are more coming in each week. We will be adding to the list when we get back to SA for the regional.
