2013 Crossmen Protest Tour
Day 22 - Friday, July 5th A 7:00 am wake-up followed by one ensemble rehearsal block led us to departing for downtown Chicago by 12:30 pm. Everyone went their separate directions. Some went in small groups some in larger but most everyone seemed to end up at a Chicago style pizza place. The admin team, less Joel, went to Giordano's on Rush Street. The place was packed and the long line was growing ever longer. We were able to get seated and had great pizza and some relaxing time together. Joel on the other had was fighting the traffic in order to deliver some folks to the airport and pick up others. A real sacrifice on his part. The admin team met up again at the IMAX theater and watched the new Superman movie in 3D. It is surprising what a little down time, sitting down for a meal and watching a great movie will do for you while on tour. I am sure that the members and staff feel the same way. We get to know each other a little better under relaxed conditions. Crossmen are ready to get back to work on being the best Crossmen we can be. The ride to the housing site in Michigan City was a short one. We are not used to the short distances we have experienced this summer. It is a real blessing. Everyone is better rested.
