2013 Crossmen Protest Tour
Day 15, Friday June 28th
Show Day- Ball State University, Muncie, IN
Housing- Alexandria-Monroe HS
She's too Good For Me!We wake up to another cool overcast morning. There are a few drops of rain before the corps gets up. The wet stuff subsides before wake up and the corps does PT and eats breakfast as has become our routine. Two rehearsal blocks later we are EPL'ing and departing for the show in Muncie at Ball State University. The show coincides with a week long "Music For All" Summer Symposium. I couldn't get over the crowd and the enthusiasm they brought tonight. The staff was able to get to a high vantage point in the 40th row and really get to see the product more clearly. The corps received a standing ovation at the conclusion and multiple ovations during the show. This has to be gratifying for performers.
Shortly after we were done and back at the truck the sky turned black in the distance and was heading our way at a fast clip. The mission for the front ensemble was to get all of the valuables back on the truck and get on the bus with the rest of the corps to stay safe until the storm passed. It was close but mission accomplished. Not long after we were off the buses and reloading everything the way it should be loaded, snack was served. The drum Major retreat was cancelled but the staff still had critique. Once everyone was loaded back on the buses we headed for our next housing destination in East Troy, WI.
A good look at some of the great flags printed by Love Custom Designs for our show this summer
