Crossmen Tour 37 "renewal" Day 46- Harper Park Middle School, Leesburg, VA- Rehearsal Day
Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011- Crossmen Tour 37 "renewal" Day 46- Harper Park MS - Leesburg, VA- Rehearsal Day
The ride last night was one of the longest ones of the summer. The 360 mile journey was through some pretty mountainous area also. The end result was that we arrived close to sun up if the sun was going to show itself today. The members were given an extra hour of floor time in order to make up for the loss of 45 minutes on our mountainous travels. It didn't matter much as far as rehearsal time was concerned as it started raining right after breakfast and persisted on and off throughout the day till close to dinner. Jason and the staff squeezed in as much outdoor work as possible. Overall it was a cooler experience for the members. I think that it was a welcome break from the extreme heat of the previous few days. The evening brought an ensemble block till we couldn't see due to the onset of darkness with the overcast conditions. The executive decision by Joe and Jason was to end things early tonight and move wake up back an hour for tomorrow morning. The members were given more rest tonight. We are recharging the batteries for our second homecoming of the season on Saturday. Rest well Crossmen! The stretch drive is on our doorstep!
