Crossmen Tour 37 "renewal" Day 40-Ashville HS - Gadsden, AL Show Day

Thursday, July 28th 2011- Crossmen Tour 37 "renewal" Day 40-Ashvlille HS - Gadsden, AL- Show Day

Today is another hot and sticky one. During lunch, Crossmen German color guard member, Jacqueline Kurze, had a couple of visitors from her native country. Her friends intend to attend the Gadsden show tonight, Atlanta on Saturday and then Allentown. The Crossmen have two international members this year. Jacqueline from Germany and Takuma Kawahara from Tokyo, Japan. It has been a fun experience for the Crossmen to get to know them and learn about them, their families and their countries. I have been very impressed with Takuma and his increase in english vocabulary. He started coming to Crossmen camps in November and his progress speaking english has been remarkable. Jacqueline speaks english very easily.

After ensemble, we EPL and head to Gadsden. John and Rhonda Schock are our pilot and co-pilot for the Mobile Command Center. Their son Jordan is a Crossmen tuba vet.

The Titan Stadium at Gadsden City HS is pretty full. The crowd is very receptive to the Crossmen and our show. The audiience is on their feet and very vocal after the performance. After the drum major retreat we make our way down the road to Adairsville, GA!
