Crossmen Tour 37 "renewal" Day 32
Tuesday, July 19th- Collegiate HS, Wichita, Kansas- Show Day
All is well in Crossmenland again. The food trailer is back in order after the failed starter motor replacement. Newell showed me the damage to the front bumper that I wasn't aware of earlier. Seems that on their way after the refer repair in DesMoines they slayed Bambi with the front bumper of the 2012 Freightliner that pulls the food trailer. When it rains it pours!
Doug Stemet dropped by prior to lunch today and dropped off a couple hundred popsicles for the corps to cool everyone off. Doug and his wife, Denita are Crossmen alums and are always supportive of the Crossmen. We really enjoy it when we can be a participating corps in their hometown show.
The Wichita State venue is a great stadium for drum corps. The concrete stands on both sides create some awesome accoustics. The stands tower over the field. Crossmen had a great run tonight! The near capacity crowd was on their feet instantly after our performance. The members were beaming afterwards. It was a near perfect night.
