Crossmen Tour 37 renewal Day 4- Indianapolis Show Day
2011 Crossmen Tour 37 Day 4- Tuesday, June 21th- Indy Show Day
This is a tough way to start a season. We rack up another 450 miles for the second night in order to bridge the gap from Memphis to Indianapolis. We stay at Washington HS in Indianapolis. We are very close to the show site at Northwest HS. There is a sense of excitement in our corps. The first show day is at hand. Two rehearsal blocks go by fast. The EPL (eat, pack and load) runs smooth. We depart on time and arrive at the show site a couple minutes early. Nice start. The weather is a little spotty and threatening. Crossmen are scheduled to step off at 7:57 pm. A rain shower and a few lightning bolts in the distance force a 30 minute rain delay. We step of at 8:27 pm. The crowd likes what it sees and hears from the Crossmen. I catch a voice from the stands yelling, “Welcome back Bones”. It was a good feeling. Our staff has done a great job this season and now we get to show the world what we have been up to the last three weeks at spring training and the months going back to November. There is a noticeable increase in power and quality from the hornline this season. The music is very engaging. The Crossmen swagger is back.
No time to waste. After snack we head out to the Cincinnati, OH area of Fairfield, OH.
