For Immediate Release  –  February 19, 2019

San Antonio – Crossmen Productions, Inc. recently announced that the organization has hired Natalie Steele as its new CEO following an exhaustive search. She replaces retiring Executive Director Fred Morrison, who has served the organization since 2006.

Steele was a member of Crossmen from 2007-2009. She received her bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Houston, her master’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a second bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Colorado State University.

She has worked within the non-profit industry since 2006, serving in various leadership positions in youth development and membership with YMCA organizations in both Texas and California. Consistent with her broad-based experience in the non-profit industry, Steele plans to focus foremost on development, communications, maximizing the structure of the organization’s efficient and effective operations.

The Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps is a member of the World Class division of Drum Corps International and is a consistent finalist in the World Championships each August in Indianapolis. Steele credits Morrison and the Crossmen Productions Board of Directors for their dedication and for building the strong family culture that is an integral part of the corps’ legacy.

She said, “It’s so exciting to be back home in Texas, and I’m honored to continue Fred’s work with this incredible organization. I look forward to the opportunity to continue to cultivate this incredibly innovative and progressive organization as we serve our performers and their families. ”

Morrison will serve in an advisory capacity through 2019 to ensure a smooth leadership transition.

He said, “Having worked toward retirement for the last year or two, I am thrilled that we have found such a strong, competent replacement. There is no doubt that Natalie will build on the tradition of excellence and take the Crossmen to the next level.”
