Adrian Valderrama

Adrian is from Plano, TX and attended Plano East Senior High School. She marched five years in DCI as a member of Spirit of JSU (now Atlanta) from 2003-2004 and with the Boston Crusaders from 2005-2007. She was drumline section leader during her age-out year in 2007. Adrian was also a member of WGI’s Metro Alliance from 2003-2005.

In 2008, Adrian received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design at the University of North Texas. Prior to graduating, she performed with the UNT Classical Ensemble and studied under Omar Carmenates. In 2010, Adrian attended Texas A&M University – Commerce where she studied under Dr. Brian Zator. She was a member of the Wind Ensemble Percussion Section, the A&M-Commerce Percussion Ensemble, Steel Band, and performed with the A&M-Commerce Percussion Ensemble as part of the 2010 PASIC Showcase Concerts.

After graduating, Adrian was a cast member in Odyssey, an all-female stage production that toured Japan in 2008. From 2011-2012, she went on a U.S. & International tour with the Tony and Emmy-award winning Broadway show, Blast! as a general percussionist & timpani specialist. 

Adrian has taught around the Dallas-Fort Worth area since 2006. She most recently was the percussion instructor and private lesson teacher for Clark High School in Plano, TX and its feeder middle schools from 2009-2011. She now currently works for MusicProfessor and teaches lessons in Frisco ISD.
