Lin Daffron - Instructor

Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Lin began dancing at the age of 4 but did not truly find her passion until she stumbled upon color guard. After high school she continued her performance pursuits, marching with Carolina Gold Drum and Bugle Corps in 2009, the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps in 2010-2011, and First Flight World Winterguard 2011-2012. She then took a break from performing color guard and spent two years dancing and teaching in Ft. Wayne, IN. During this time, Lin performed and studied with Mikautadze Dance Theater (2013) and with the Pride of Cincinnati Dance Ensemble (2014).She then returned with The Pride of Cincinnati Winterguard to the WGI floor for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

Lin’s enthusiasm for performance is only equaled by her love of teaching the marching arts. Since 2010, she has been lucky enough to work with multiple programs across the mid-Atlantic and midwest as a choreographer and technician, including Powhatan High School (VA), Green Hope High School (NC), and Homestead High School (IN). She presently works with both Franklin and Father Ryan High School in Nashville, TN. Lin also taught Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps in 2014 as their primary movement technician. Lin has been a member of the Crossmen Color Guard instructional staff since 2016 and is incredibly excited to be joining them for a third year!

Away from the marching arts, Lin is an affectionate pug mother, Parks & Rec lover, and an avid fitness enthusiast -- a passion she found as a result of her time performing! Lin graduated with her BS from Middle Tennessee State University in 2017 and is currently studying to become an Occupational Therapy Assistant in Nashville, TN.
