Christopher Baños - Percussion Instruction 

Christopher Baños is an alumni of the Crossmen, having marched in the 2012 season. Christopher is enthusiastic to return to the Crossmen as staff for the 2018 season.

Christopher has several years of experience in the marching arts. He was first introduced to the world of marching percussion as a student of Miami Senior High School in South Florida.  Since graduating from Miami High, Christopher has been a member of many World Class WGI and DCI ensembles.

In his DCI experience, Christopher was a member of the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps for their 2012 season, and Carolina Crown for their 2013 and 2014 seasons. At Crown, he received a Gold medal and aged out in 2013.

In his WGI experience, Christopher was a member of  STRYKE Percussion in 2013, and Rhythm X in 2014 and 2015. During his time at Rhythm X, he received a Bronze medal in 2014, and aged out in with a Silver medal in 2015.

Since aging out, he has been involved as an instructor for several DCI and WGI ensembles.

In his DCI experience, Christopher taught the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps in 2016, and at the Academy Drum and Bugle Corps in 2017 - 2018.

In his WGI experience, he taught at FIU Indoor and West Broward Indoor in 2016, and at STRYKE Percussion from 2016 - 2018.

In his educational career, Christopher has taken on many roles. He has been a coordinator, caption head, consultant, and arranger for many marching ensembles in South Florida. 

Currently , Christopher is the Percussion Specialist at Ridge Point High School in Missouri City, Texas while holding a Music Education Degree from Florida International University.
