Positions AvailableFood Manager
The Crossmen Food Manager will be responsible for the day to day operations of the corps' food truck. Responsibilities include planning, ordering and managing the preparation of meals for the corps' 200 members and staff while overseeing a group of assigned volunteers. Our food manager will work with our administrative team and nutrition consultant to ensure our performers are receiving the proper nutrition for their rigorous physical activity and schedule.
Crossmen are seeking a Nutrition Consultant to ensure performers receive the proper nutrition education and guidance necessary for their rigorous physical schedule. This position will work closely with our food manager, athletic trainer, and administrative team to help plan a successful and healthy nutrition plan for our performers.
Crossmen utilize several Tour Assistants in a variety of administrative roles throughout the summer. These positions vary according to the needs of the organization and generally involve logistics, operations, coordinating of housing, as well as assisting with member & staff needs. Stipend is available.
Crossmen are currently hiring licensed drivers for our 2017 tour. The driving dates are June 17th - August 15th. The expected mileage for the tour is approximately 10,000 miles. The start and stop of the tour will be in San Antonio, TX. The corps travels in a convoy primarily at night consisting of 4 coach buses, 2 tractor-trailers, 1 box truck with attached trailer, 2 RVs, 1 pick up truck with attached trailer, and a 15-passenger van. Stipend available. Short term positions for those unable to fill the entire summer are currently available.

This position calls for an applicant who is a certified Athletic Trainer to serve with our youth performing arts group while on national tour. The applicant is directly involved with maintaining the health and well being of the corps members, as well as acting as a first responder in the case of injury or illness. Additional responsibilities include appropriate medical documentation and regular status updates to the Assistant Corps Director and Instructional Staff. This position requires the applicant to devote all-day attention to the 150 members for the entirety of the summer tour.
AT coverage will be needed from May 26th through August 13th. A stipend is available, and meals and accommodations for the duration of the tour will be provided. Travel to the spring training location in San Antonio, TX, as well as departure from the Drum Corps International World Championships in Indianapolis, IN may also be provided.
Assistant Merchandise Manager
This position would assist the merchandise manager in preparing, ordering, and selling a variety of merchandise items for Crossmen. The person chosen for this position should be eager to promote Crossmen as well as dedicated to customer service. Stipend available.
Communications and Media Internship
Media Team members will work closely with the administrative team and will be responsible for completing small projects that will be showcased on our website and social media outlets. The best applicant for the job will be one who is driven to showcase their work to a worldwide audience and eager to experience life on the road with Crossmen while capturing documentary-style video and photos.
Applicants are to be familiar with capturing video and photos with a DSLR camera as well as editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar. Knowledge in other media programs such as After Effects or similar is a plus!

All the positions are full time from May 26 – August 13 unless otherwise indicated in the job description. Those that have different schedule requirements but are available for the majority of the dates listed will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The ideal candidate is at least 21 years of age, holds a valid drivers license, and may be required to drive a corps vehicle from time-to-time. In addition, this person displays excellent communication and organizational skills with demonstrated interpersonal abilities. The candidates must provide their own mobile phone with a data plan.
All of the aforementioned positions will travel with the corps and are provided four meals a day plus housing. Reimbursement for travel to/from the corps is available for select positions.
